I have been using an NXS 5.5-22x56 with moa reticle for 5 years on a .300 Winchester and now I have a 3.5-15x50 NXS with moa on a .300 prc and they work flawlessly every time and make it easy to take deer and hogs every winter here in the east Texas piney woods where I usually hunt. As an ethical hunter and ammunition hand loader, I am of the belief that the real test of a great rifle scope is not so much the latest gadgets they possess or the warranty they’re supposed to have but instead how Mechanically they actually truly perform to in the hunting forests and mountains and how they last under much use and under the merciless clamping force of extremely hard steel rings. I strictly use only badger ordnance Max 50 steel rings. They’re made as if a snapping turtle had a baby with a bull dog. They can mess up a flimsy scope and they can hold any scope forever under any recoil. The NXS scopes are so tough and the finish is so durable that my max50’s don’t even rub the finish off yet these scopes entirely hold perfectly true to their zero stops and remain crystal clear edge to edge even over thousands of shots and miles of hunting and many bumps on trees or rocks or the shooting range and riding in the truck for days. We as an industry tend to come out with new scopes and gadgets and ideas every year but for me it will always be hard to improve upon the simple reliability and ease of use of the NXS. With an NXS, a beginning shooter and hunter can learn well and succeed, and an experienced marksman improve his skills as well. With these 2 amazing scopes on my 300’s and occasionally my 338’s I am never afraid to set them on low zoom and wade in a cave or plunge into the timber in potentially dangerous game county or search a cave and then at the open hills and valleys can quickly zoom up for extended shots. The NXS remains plenty enough scope for anybody and everybody.
